A research conducted in England between 2006 and 2008 on 10 brands of Organic milk and 12 brands of non organic milk showed that Organic milk contained 60% more omega-3 fat and 12% more omega-6 fat than non organic milk.
According to the researchers, greater quantities of beneficial fats found in organic milk would be due to the type of food eaten by the cows. The cows on organic farms feed on hay from the fields that are not treated with nitric chemical fertilizers as is the case for non organic feed on industrial farms that produces milk with more trans fat.
