Assembed by Cire-Constance, A Social Economy Enterprise
Who we are?
A manufacturing company specialising in the production of wood objects and wax candles, L'Atelier la Cire-Constance produces handcrafted kitchen cupboards and is involved in the restauration and fabrication of customized furniture. The company also offers product conditioning services.
L'Atelier la Cire-Constance gives programs for occupational integration to young adults from 16 to 35 years old and to people living with functional limitations who wish to return to school, go back to work or start a project on a voluntary, cost-free and discrimination-free basis.
Our Partners
The success we enjoy today did not happen by itself. L'Atelier la Cire-Constance has received help from several financial partners in different areas. At the beginning, we were given a hand by the MES through its Fonds de Lutte contre la Pauvreté. Afterwards, necessary financing for the integration mission for varied clienteles was assured by local employment centers of Charlevoix who have been supporting the company since 2001. And last but not least, the CLD of the MRC de Charlevoix regularly gives us precious aide in equipment investment support. We cannot ignore our fruitful collaboration with the specialised services and resources of the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi and the Services de Main-d'oeuvre l'Appui.
A Teaching Enterprise
People who work at l'Atelier la Cire-Constance, have a chance to do all sorts of jobs. To develop a maximum of useful capacities and transferable skills, work is prioritised so that each person is assigned to every work station. But there is no sequential order for work stations. Occupation at a station is determined by the degree of responsibility of the person, his or her limitations and by the particular skills required to do the work. Workers have to acquire specific skills but also generic competencies such as respect for schedules and authority, a measure of autonomy, self-reliance, better motor coordination and handling dexterity, realisation of how to work well, quality of products, awareness at work and judgement with respect for the importance of doing what the job requires.
